The City of London Corporation has applied for an exemption to the recently announced details of forthcoming permitted development rights for change of use from B1(a) offices to C3 residential, due to the concern about the immediate danger of conversion of office stock to flats if an exemption from the rule change is not granted

Planning consent has been secured for the change of use and extension of a former Mecca Bingo in Sheffield. Consent was granted to Quora Developments for a retail park including an Aldi and Home Bargains. The delegated decision was issued following negotiations with Planning Officers and the support of local residents and Ward Councillors.

Fenland DC has disbanded its Planning Committee following resolutions to grant permission for Sainsburys and Tesco in Whittlesey caused public outcry. The Council have taken legal advice amid fears the decisions were unsound, both were against Officer recommendation.

Planning Potential have secured permission for an Application under S106A, removing the requirement to provide any affordable housing on site, with no other obligations or conditions. Our client is now free to sell all the units on the open market.

The Planning Inspectorate has recently advised they are aiming to determine appeals within 26 weeks of the appeal start date. Currently the average time for appeals to be determined is 18 weeks. Validation of appeals is taking around 10 working days.

Planning Potential have secured consent for a 2nd ALDI foodstore in Lincoln. The consent was issued under delegated powers; this is the 3rd delegated decision in a row for a new ALDI foodstore in the Yorkshire/Lincolnshire region.
