Lorna Byrne

Renowned for the quality of her writing and attention to detail, Lorna has extensive public consultation and stakeholder engagement experience.

Before joining Planning Potential in 2013, Lorna spent seven years working for a leading firm of property agents, consultants and advisers as their Director of Communications. She has 25 years’ experience in public relations and communications, having started her career with a major construction group in the late ‘80s.

After a brief but enjoyable stint in the motor industry, Lorna subsequently managed in-house PR and communication departments for leading businesses in the water and house building sectors. She also worked for a London communications consultancy.

Renowned for the quality of her writing and attention to detail, Lorna has extensive public consultation and stakeholder engagement experience. Having worked on a variety of challenging consultation projects for businesses in different industries, she is accustomed to tackling difficult issues, resolving conflict and providing solutions.

Recognising that public consultation and engagement is an integral part of the planning and development process, Lorna works with her planning colleagues to achieve positive outcomes for clients’ proposals.

Outside Planning Potential, Lorna also has a voluntary role as a patient representative with the largest NHS Trust in the UK. When she’s not working she enjoys wildlife holidays and regular trips to the ice rink!
